Psychotherapy for adults & children

Education

I earned my Master's degree in Clinical Psychology: Emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University in 2017. I also graduated from Seaver College at Pepperdine University with a B.A. in Psychology. My background includes additional studies in Education and Studio Art and I especially enjoy integrating these elements into therapy when I am working with children and adolescents.

Practice

I have worked as a therapist in a private practice setting since 2018. I trained in community mental health at Airport Marina Counseling Center in Westchester, CA. where I treated individual adults, middle school students, and parents of middle school students. I also collaborated with teachers and administrators at Orville Wright Middle School to facilitate a processing group for students who had experienced grief and loss.

I completed a child development internship at the Orange County Rescue Mission in Tustin, CA. I promoted social, cognitive and physical development for infants and toddlers of families who had experienced homelessness. I also developed an after-school tutoring and behavioral modification program to promote a safe and structured learning environment for K-8th grade residents.

I also served on a therapeutic team to co-facilitate equine therapy sessions for adults, children, families and substance abuse treatment groups at Horse Play Therapy in Orange County, CA.

Currently, I draw from my diverse training in experiential therapies, psychodynamic therapy, and cognitive-behavioral therapy to create a supportive and engaging therapeutic experience for clients in private practice.

Training

I have undergone specialized training in treatment of anxiety disorders using Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for adults, children and teens. ERP is an evidence-based modality that is used in the treatment of OCD, social anxiety, specific phobias and panic disorder.

I participated as a study therapist in Partners in Caring for Anxious Youth (PCAY) Study and completed training in manualized CBT treatments including Coping Cat through UCLA's study training team.

I received intensive training in Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) for treating couples from the Socal Institute of Emotion Focused Therapy.

I am certified in Equine Assisted Therapy (EAP) through the Equine Associated Growth and Learning Association (EAGALA) where I completed Level I training in 2015.
